A one-to-one, non-contact 12-week boxing programme delivered directly inside schools, youth centres and community spaces across London.

Boxing Therapy

THE PROGRAMME

Boxing Therapy is a one-to-one, non-contact 12-week boxing programme. It uses therapeutic measures to help young people engage, process emotions, build resilience and explore their feelings in a safe environment.

It is delivered directly inside schools (primary and secondary), youth centres and community spaces across London. Young people do not have to travel to a gym, find kit or walk into an unfamiliar environment.

Each weekly session is built around a technical boxing foundation. They will learn correct stance, guard, footwork, boxing combos, pad work, and conditioning. It is delivered within a framework of safety, self-reflection and therapeutic work.

This is a therapeutic intervention designed to produce measurable change in behaviour, confidence and emotional regulation.

WHO IT IS FOR

Boxing Therapy is for young people who are disengaged, struggling, or at risk and who may require some one-to-one therapeutic work. Suitable for schools (primary and secondary), PRUs, alternative provision and youth centres.

  • Students at risk of exclusion or already on managed moves
  • Young people with SEMH needs; including ADHD, stress, anxiety, trauma history
  • Students who won't engage with classroom-based support
  • Young people with poor attendance or habitual disengagement

WHAT YOUNG PEOPLE GAIN

Boxing Therapy can help young people improve their mental health using a creative but direct approach.

The mind and body connection can be utilised to release tension and balance emotions.

  • Confidence: Built through visible progress. They learn new skills and see themselves improve.
  • Emotional regulation: Managing stress, anxiety and depression.
  • Self-discipline: Showing up on time, following structure, respecting the environment.
  • Resilience: Pushing through discomfort, setting small goals and meeting them.
  • Boost brain functions: Improve focus and concentration.
